Showcase highlights incredible year for VICSES
As 2024 draws to a close, Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is excited to unveil its 2024 year in review TV media showreel, which highlights the variety of remarkable contributions VICSES members have made to their communities this calendar year.
Showcasing everything from major VICSES storm and flood responses to the well-publicised search for missing Ballarat mum Samantha Murphy and a range of awareness campaigns such as Wear Orange Wednesday,Women in Rescue and the volunteer-led Fund VICSES campaign, we hope this video encapsulates the passion which drives our service.
Set to be one of VICSES’ busiest years on record, with Victorian volunteers on track to receive more than 40,000 requests for assistance (RFAs) by the close of the year, 2024 highlighted the diverse role VICSES volunteers have as emergency experts in their local community, and shone a light on the lasting impact they can have on those they support on their toughest days.
From life-saving rescues to days spent assisting residents recover from severe weather, volunteers in orange and the staff that support them are becoming increasingly visible throughout their local area and in wider media as they continue to cement themselves as cornerstones of their communities.
From everyone at VICSES, please enjoy the festive season safely, and have a happy 2025.
