Seven Victoria State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers are assisting in the search for missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.
The group left Essendon at about 5am this morning, heading to the Pearce RAAF base in WA, where they are expected to remain until next Wednesday.
SES volunteers will provide their expertise as trained air observers in support of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.
Australia is leading a search for the aircraft 2500 kilometres south-west of Perth, following satellite imagery that depicted possible debris. The plane has been missing for almost two weeks.
